Synergy: Interdisciplinary Theory and Practice workshop

Interdisciplinarity and interdisciplinary research are widely acclaimed as being loci of innovation and new knowledge and ways of solving difficult diverse problems, with the capacity to bridge epistemological and ontological divides. Such practices involve many challenges, precisely because they necessarily cross disciplinary boundaries. Read more about the workshop.

In 2013 Grid Spinoza established a research residency programme within the framework of the European project Soft Control (2013 - 2015). Under the name of Spring Sessions, these residences are developed as intensive and interdisciplinary encounters between artists and other professionals for the partial development of their research projects. The program aims to provide an opportunity for an artist to invite a professional from another discipline to work together on the development of a research project under the format of a one-month residency at Hangar.
